2NE1 Adds Extra Seoul Concert After Tickets Sell Out Instantly
[OSEN=최이정 기자] Due to overwhelming global fan support, K-pop group 2NE1 has sold out their Seoul concert, prompting the addition of another show date.
YG Entertainment announced on August 12 that an additional ‘2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL’ performance is set for October 4 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park. With this new date, 2NE1 will now meet fans over three shows on October 5, 6, and now October 4.
The decision came as a result of massive demand from fans who were unable to secure tickets initially. The ticketing for the original dates saw over 400,000 concurrent online users, resulting in the seats for both days being snapped up in record time.
2NE1, known as a legendary girl group with numerous hits, has sparked fervent interest among fans eager to see their full lineup perform live. Major international media outlets like Billboard and NME are also spotlighting the group’s return, indicating a fierce competition for tickets domestically and internationally.
General sales for the additional ‘2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL’ performance will begin on August 21 at 8 PM via Interpark Tickets. Following the Seoul concerts, 2NE1 will continue their tour with stops at Kobe World Hall in Japan at the end of November and the Ariake Arena in Tokyo in early December. The group plans to extend their global tour, reaching audiences in various countries through next year.
