Psy receives special invitation to Chinese version of Superstar K
[마이데일리 = 남안우 기자] Psy received a special invitation to perform at a program; a Chinese version of Superstar K.
The program, titled Superstar China, will be aired on July 7 local time, will host Psy as one of the guest performers among other Chinese top stars at the sneak preview. The invitation was extended to Psy, thanks to his experience as one of the judges on Superstar K season 4.
The three main judges of the Chinese show – Alan Tam, Sha Baoliang and Pace Wu – will also be present at the sneak preview. Lin Chi ling, an actor, will appear as a special guest.
Seo Hyun-dong, CJ E&M Global Business Team manager, said, “There will be a large-scale production sneak preview for the first airing of Superstar China in July, and Psy will be present as a special guest performer to bring more excitement to the show.”
The sneak preview of the upcoming show will be held on June 21 at 5p.m. (local time) at the Wuhan University sports ground.
Hubei Satellite TV, one of the largest broadcasting systems in China, bought the format of CJ E&M’s Superstar K to create the much-anticipated Superstar China. The season consists of 14 episodes with regional auditions, Super Week, and Live performances to pick the best contestant, just like how it is done in the Korean show. The first episode will be aired on July 7.
