[OSEN=박소영 기자] YG Entertainment’s discernment is proven once again as BABYMONSTER gains recognition both domestically and internationally for their skills and visuals.

BABYMONSTER’s official debut track ‘SHEESH’ reached 100 million views on YouTube at approximately 2:42 AM on the 18th, a remarkable feat achieved in just 43 days, making it one of the fastest among K-pop girl group debut songs. The performance video joins a lineup of four videos that have surpassed the 100 million view mark, including ‘BATTER UP’ and ‘Stuck In The Middle,’ both of which quickly reached the 200 million and 100 million views milestones respectively.

The Billboard charts have also responded. BABYMONSTER entered the charts at 35th and 87th places in their debut week of April 9, maintaining a steady presence and popularity based on streaming and sales data from over 200 regions worldwide.

On May 17, BABYMONSTER made their first appearance on TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station,’ performing ‘SHEESH’ live. The members showcased flawless vocals and powerful choreography, holding handheld microphones, earning high praise for their concert-like stage presence.

In Japan, where it’s rare to see such a breakthrough, the production team excitedly covered BABYMONSTER in detail, broadcasting interviews with local music fans, various VCRs, and subtitles describing them as “monster rookies poised to conquer the world,” raising high expectations for their future activities.

Even before their debut, BABYMONSTER received explosive attention from fans worldwide. The seven-member group, including RORA, RUKA, PHARITA, ASA, RAMI, CHIQUITA, and AHYEON, was highly anticipated, with YG Entertainment carefully nurturing these talents. They aimed to craft a gem of overwhelming skills and visuals, hard to believe in rookies.

As a result, a monster rookie has emerged, surprising the global audience. BABYMONSTER is receiving acclaim for their performances that not only showcase impressive skills and stage manners but also their ability to enjoy the moment. YG ENTERTAINMENT executive producer YANG HYUN SUK’s insight was indeed accurate.
