BABYMONSTER AHYEON “Fully Recovered from Psychological Issues, Ready for Future Activities”
[엑스포츠뉴스=명희숙 기자] BABYMONSTER has officially made their debut, showcasing as a complete seven-member group including AHYEON, who had previously paused activities due to health issues.
BABYMONSTER (RUKA, PHARITA, ASA, AHYEON, RAMI, RORA, CHIQUITA) conducted their first mini-album ‘BABYMONS7ER’ release and debut commemoration interview on the afternoon of April 1st at YG Entertainment in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
BABYMONSTER kicked off their active promotions by releasing the title track ‘SHEESH’ at midnight. Armed with a powerful hip-hop sound, they maintain YG Entertainment’s signature style while also showcasing their unique flair.
Particularly, the media interview marked the official start of activities for the seven-member lineup including AHYEON. “I’m delighted to stand before the public as AHYEON of BABYMONSTER,” she expressed. “The album, which all our members and the YG family have worked hard on, is very meaningful and a gift to us.”
PHARITA also shared her excitement, “Many fans have been waiting for a long time, and I’m so happy the album is out. It feels new and exhilarating to debut as a complete group of seven. It makes me think we have to work even harder going forward.”
ASA added, “You could say we’ve opened our first page. All seven of us gathered and prepared diligently. The company staff helped us a lot throughout this process, resulting in this album. It feels like a mini-album that can show various charms. We want to continue to show many sides of BABYMONSTER in the future and be a group that rewards our fans who have waited for us for so long.”
Notably, AHYEON was unable to participate in the pre-release song activities due to health reasons. She has since recovered and emphasized, “I was psychologically struggling at the time but recovered quickly.”
AHYEON continued, “Even while I was resting, the fans gave me a lot of support, which helped me recover slowly. Now, I’ve fully recovered without any issues and am ready to work hard in the future.”
She added, “The company staff have given me a lot of care and support. They know me better than anyone and continue to provide care. Also, my members are my mental support, giving me a lot of encouragement.”
