TREASURE’s Popularity Rises in Japan… Confirmed Release of Japanese Versions of ‘BONA BONA’ and ‘MOVE’
[엑스포츠뉴스=김예나 기자] Group TREASURE is increasing its local popularity in Japan with its active promotions.
According to their agency YG Entertainment, TREASURE, which has been sweeping major Japanese charts and receiving much love, will release Japanese versions of their second album’s title song ‘BONA BONA’ and the unit song ‘MOVE’.
This news was announced during the group’s first fan meeting tour in Japan titled ‘2023 TREASURE FAN MEETING~HELLO AGAIN~’, which took place from the 8th to the 10th of September at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The Japanese versions of ‘MOVE’ and ‘BONA BONA’ are set to be released at midnight on the 16th and 25th of this month, respectively.
‘BONA BONA’ has topped various local charts including Japan’s biggest music site, Line Music. The song ‘MOVE’, which is the first self-composed song by member JUNKYU, has also entered the top ranks of major Japanese music charts.
Their 2nd full album ‘REBOOT’, which includes these two songs, has also achieved remarkable success. It topped Oricon’s weekly album chart, the weekly pop (import) album, and the overall weekly album chart. Additionally, it secured the top spot on Billboard Japan’s comprehensive album chart ‘Hot Albums’ and ‘Top Album Sales’, achieving a grand slam on major weekly album charts in Japan.
Meanwhile, TREASURE is currently on a large-scale fan meeting tour across five cities in Japan, with 20 rounds in total. They began in Fukuoka on the 1st and successfully completed their performance in Kobe. They will move on to venues such as Yokohama Pia Arena MM from the 16th to the 18th, Aichi Prefecture’s Nagoya International Exhibition Hall on the 23rd and 24th, and Tokyo’s Ariake Arena on the 30th and October 1st. The grand finale will be held at Tokyo Dome, often referred to as the “stage of dreams”, on November 12th.
