YG: “BLACKPINK members’ determination was strong… Encore concert to be held in September.”
[엑스포츠뉴스=김예나 기자] Group BLACKPINK has confirmed an additional encore concert for their world tour in Seoul.
According to their agency, YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK has confirmed that they will be hosting the ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINALE IN SEOUL’ on September 16th and 17th. This marks the conclusion of their tour, which colored 41 cities in pink over approximately 11 months, with the final stop in Seoul.
YG stated, “We are delighted to breathe once again with the fans in Korea, where the tour first started. Above all, the members’ determination for the Seoul encore was strong,” adding “Both the staff and artists are pouring their hearts out for the best stage. Details about the venue will be announced later.”
A completely different setlist and stage from the first Seoul concert shown last year have been forecasted. The performance will incorporate the beauty unique to Korea, reminiscent of the acclaimed ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ version, ensuring a diverse and high-quality performance.
In particular, the concert on the 17th holds significance as it marks the grand finale of the tour. It will be simultaneously broadcasted online, drawing attention. This provides an opportunity for global BLINKS who cannot attend in person to feel the heat and emotion of the venue, anticipating a positive response.
Offline ticket pre-sales for this concert open at 8 pm on the 29th of this month. It’s targeted at BLINK MEMBERSHIP subscribers and can be accessed through pre-applications on Weverse. General booking starts at 7 pm on September 1st. Online live streaming tickets can be purchased on Weverse Shop from 8 pm on August 29th.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently conducting the largest scale world tour for a K-pop girl group, attracting approximately 1.75 million attendees. Starting in New Jersey on the 11th (local time), they are connecting with American fans once again through stadium tours in 4 North American cities, including Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
