BLACKPINK Completes Their First-Ever World Tour with An Encore Concert in Bangkok
[스타데일리뉴스=천설화 기자] BLACKPINK put a period on their first-ever world tour with their encore concert held in Bangkok.
On July 12 at 8 PM and from the 13-14th at 6 PM(local time), BLACKPINK held the local fans of Bangkok in the Impact Arena by holding the ‘BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR [IN YOUR AREA] BANGKOK : ENCORE’.
BLACKPINK previously began their first-ever world tour in the same location, 6 months ago. The encore concert was consisted of 3 shows due to the high demand and support of local fans, and all 30 thousand tickets were sold out. The group added more meaning to their tour by decorating the finale in the same location where they notified the beginning of their world tour.
As the concert was held in Bangkok, Thailand which is LISA’s hometown, passionate and heated waves filled up the concert arena. Huge roars filled up the arena even before the concert began, while the local fans welcomed BLACKPINK’s revisit to Bangkok by singing-along all of BLACKPINK’s songs.
After heating up the scene with their mega-hits including ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ and ‘FOREVER YOUNG’, BLACKPINK got closer to the fans by speaking in Thai and English for the local fans. BLACKPINK shared their thoughts in holding their encore concert by stating, “We’re happy to comeback here for tonight’s concert”.
After the group performed a remix version of ‘STAY’ and an acoustic version of ‘WHISTLE’, the individual members presented solo performances which emphasized each member’s unique charms. LISA made the crowd react passionately by presenting a choreography which she has never previously presented before on her solo performances.
The surprise banner events prepared by the local fans for the encore concert also grabbed the people’s attention. The fans moved BLACKPINK’s hearts by holding a banner that read, ‘MY AREA IS ALWAYS FOR YOU’ on the first concert. On the second concert, the fans held a banner that read, ‘WHEN DARKNESS COMES, I WILL BE YOUR FIRE’, while they held a banner in Korean that meant, ‘I WILL COTINUE TO SUPPORT YOU HERE’ on the last concert, expressing their affectionate hearts towards BLACKPINK.
During the world tour period, BLACKPINK met the fans of 23 cities of 4 continents including Seoul, Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Los Angeles, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Amsterdam, Manchester, London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Macau, Melbourne, and Sydney.
During their final concert, BLACKPINK shed tears in joy while reminiscing their past world tour journey which lasted for the past 6 months. The members did not forget to thank the staff members and shouted, “Our staff members who have worked so hard for the past 6 months! Thank you and we love you”.
JENNIE also revealed her friendship with LISA by telling her, “LISA, thank you for always passing on positive energy for our team” in Thai. LISA was touched and shed tears, while the fans watching them were also deeply moved. BLACKPINK took a photo with the fans of Bangkok who filled up the arena to keep the moment in their memories, promising to meet again in the future while also sharing their gratitude in Thai.
With their concert in Bangkok, BLACKPINK successfully completed their 6-month world tour consisted of 32 concerts in a total of 23 cities in 4 continents including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania. With their momentum, BLACKPINK will hold a dome tour in Japan consisted of 4 concerts in 3 cities. They will perform in Tokyo Dome this year on December, in Osaka Kyocera Dome next year on January, and in Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome next year on February.
