“We Love YG”: TREASURE’s Unique Color
[스포츠경향=김지우 기자] Group TREASURE has discussed the direction of their new album ‘REBOOT.’
On the morning of the 28th, a press conference was held at the YG Entertainment office in celebration of the release of TREASURE’s 2nd full album ‘REBOOT.’
‘REBOOT’ is a new album presented 10 months after BANG YEDAM and MASHIHO’s departure last November. JIHOON stated that he prepared this album with more diligence, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility and excitement.
CHOI HYUN SUK commented, “As it’s a full album, all ten of us focused on completing the songs and performances. In doing so, 10 months passed.” He added, “Rather than our music chart performance, I think it’s important to keep showing good songs and stages. I believe that if we do that, the fans and the public will naturally come to like us.”
He also noted, “As the first large group at YG, we found performances that only we can do. We honed what we consider to be our strengths.” He added, “Yang Hyun-Suk oversaw the big picture and helped with arrangements, improving the quality. I believe we’ve created an album that many people will find satisfying.”
On the subject of their title track ‘BONA BONA’ and other songs that highlight YG’s unique color, he explained, “We love the company YG. We aimed to dress TREASURE in the traditional YG color, with a goal to create a new YG.”
Meanwhile, TREASURE’s 2nd full album ‘REBOOT’ will be released at 6 pm on the 28th.
