“Amazing Responses”… YG TREASURE Reveals Manila Concert Behind-The-Scenes
[스타뉴스=이승훈 기자] Boy group TREASURE revealed the behind-the-scenes of their concert in Manila.
YG Entertainment posted the 14th episode of ‘TREASURE WORLD MAP’ on TREASURE’s official SNS on the 25th. It was a video filled with passionate concerts completed with local fans and amusing charms of the members’ mini-game challenges. As always, TREASURE gathered at the rehearsal site and took the stage with vitality. Recalling having met Manila fans once in 2022, DOYOUNG said, “I remember the response was really tremendous. I will do well today by drawing a lot of energy,” and was enthusiastic in rehearsal.
The vicinity of the concert site on the first day was crowded with fans. Waiting for the performance, fans warmed up the atmosphere by chanting TREASURE’s signature greeting and passionately singing ‘JIKJIN’. As soon as the curtain rose, TREASURE repaid with their unique precision choreography, solid vocals, and brilliant performance. CHOI HYUN SUK couldn’t hide his excitement at the fans’ voices coming through his in-ear monitor on stage.
On the first night after the Manila concert, JUNKYU, ASAHI, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN wore matching pajamas and challenged the mini games. They exuded innocent charm while conducting ‘Balance Jenga’ with unexpected questions popping up, fully immersing in the ‘Life Game’, and the tense ‘Zero Game’.
In the second performance the next day, the members heated up the concert hall with overflowing energy. In the encore, the members burned their passion until the last moment, enjoying TREASURE MAKER (fan club name)’s explosive response and cheering.
The members who came down from the stage were moved by recalling the lightstick event prepared by local fans and the wave. SO JUNG HWAN said, “The response today was really tremendous,” and JUNKYU expressed his feelings, “I’m very grateful and had a lot of fun.” Afterwards, during the send-off, they repeatedly thanked the fans and shared the lingering feelings of the Manila performance.
Having successfully completed their first Asian tour since debut, TREASURE plans to further expand its global influence this year. They are set to perform at ‘Water Bomb Nagoya 2023’ in July and it is expected that they will set the popularity on fire by taking the main stage at ‘SUMMER SONIC 2023’, one of Japan’s leading music festivals, in August.
