YG’s TREASURE concludes Asian Tour brilliantly, with 40 performances in 17 cities
[OSEN=지민경 기자] YG Entertainment’s major group, TREASURE, successfully completed their debut Asian tour and announced a continuous race for the second half of 2023.
On the 20th of May, TREASURE performed their final concert for the ‘2023 TREASURE TOUR [HELLO]’ at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Starting in Seoul, South Korea, they decorated the grand finale of the tour that had crisscrossed major Asian cities including eight major cities in Japan, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Macao, and Hong Kong.
Even though it was their first visit after their debut, they boasted a heated atmosphere with a sold-out audience due to fierce ticket competition. Through this tour, TREASURE performed in 17 cities and held 40 performances, drawing a total of 420,000 audiences, making the impact of TREASURE, who has jumped into the global trend, feel real.
On this day, TREASURE entered with an explosive cheer, shaking fans’ hearts with ‘JIKJIN’ as the opening stage. Then they performed a powerful hit song relay such as ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, and continuously released energy for about 170 minutes including unit, cover, encore, and re-encore stages, providing thrilling moments every second.
In particular, the true value of TREASURE, who has grown as a ‘performance-type artist’ in unison with fans around the world, has shone properly. The members actively moved around the stage, making the audience hot, and captivated the eyes and ears with a stable singing ability despite the high difficulty choreography that unfolds without a break. In response, fans filled the concert hall with a wave of blue light from their light sticks (TEU-LIGHT) and responded with enthusiastic cheers.
The finale stage boasted a high-quality production concentrated with YG’s concert know-how. The rich live band sound enhanced the charm of TREASURE’s performance and provided a strong overwhelming feeling, while various special effects such as lights, fireworks, LEDs changing moment by moment according to the music satisfied all senses.
TREASURE looked back on their past journey and shared touching emotions with fans. The members conveyed, “We will never forget the love and support sent by TREASURE MAKERS. TREASURE exists because of TREASURE MAKERS,” and “Although the Asian tour has come to an end, it’s not the end but a new beginning. We will show you what we are preparing for this year as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, TREASURE, who has successfully completed their first Asian tour since debut, plans to further expand their global influence this year. They are scheduled to participate in ‘WATERBOMB NAGOYA 2023’ in July, and they are expected to set the stage on fire at the ‘SUMMER SONIC 2023’, Japan’s representative music festival, in August.
