TREASURE Heats Up Bangkok with Sold-out Three-day Concert
[OSEN=선미경 기자] The K-POP group TREASURE set Bangkok ablaze with a passionate three-day concert series.
TREASURE held their ‘2023 TREASURE TOUR [HELLO]’ at the Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 31 to April 2. Initially, only one performance was scheduled for April 1, but due to the overwhelming response from local fans, two more shows were added. Amidst fierce ticket competition, all three shows sold out, demonstrating TREASURE’s global popularity with packed audiences.
The concert kicked off with TREASURE performing their hit song ‘JIKJIN,’ which has received immense love from global fans. They followed with energetic performances of ‘BOY,’ ‘I LOVE YOU,’ and ‘GOING CRAZY,’ and fans greeted them with enthusiastic sing-alongs.
With a diverse setlist of 24 songs, including flashy and passionate stages, emotional ballads, unit performances, covers, and encores, TREASURE showcased the essence of true ‘performance artists.’ The non-stop whirlwind of TREASURE’s signature energy, combined with YG’s high-quality production and a sensational live band sound, provided the audience with 150 minutes of exhilarating pleasure.
On the third day’s encore stage, a surprise birthday party was held for Haruto, who turned 20 on April 5. When fans unveiled a “Happy Birthday, Ruto” slogan event, a giant cake appeared on stage, and everyone sang together to celebrate Haruto’s birthday. Haruto expressed his gratitude to both the members and the fans after blowing out the candles on his birthday cake.
Thailand boasted the most enthusiastic atmosphere and the largest audience among the Asian tour stops. TREASURE greeted fans in Thai, which they had practiced beforehand, and actively engaged with fans by showcasing famous drama quotes and local slang. After bonding with Thai fans for three days, TREASURE said, “Thanks to all of you, we gained immense strength today. We’ll never forget this moment,” and promised to return soon.
Following a massive Japanese tour that drew nearly 300,000 fans, TREASURE is currently on their first Asian tour since their debut, covering eight cities and 12 shows. They’ve successfully completed concerts in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Bangkok, and will continue with shows in Singapore on April 8, Manila on April 14 and 15, Macau on April 22, and Hong Kong on May 20 to meet and connect with local fans.
