YG TREASURE Tops Japan’s Line Music’s Daily Chart with Their First Japanese Single ‘Here I Stand’
[스포츠월드=최정아 기자] YG Entertainment’s mega-group TREASURE has once again conquered the local music charts with their Japanese debut single.
According to YG Entertainment on the 28th, TREASURE’s first Japanese original single ‘Here I Stand’ topped the Line Music Song Chart’s daily chart. It also secured the number one spot on Rakuten Music’s chart on the day of its release, maintaining its position at the top of the real-time chart.
‘Here I Stand’ is a Japanese original pop-rock track with a refined band sound, featuring TREASURE’s energetic vocals and lyrics that express their determination to never give up on their dreams. The song powerfully conveys a message of resilience.
The short, 2-minute version of the song, ‘Here I Stand-Anime Edit-,’ was released as a special event in January and had previously topped Line Music’s weekly chart. With the official full-length track also reaching the top, TREASURE has proven the unwavering love of local listeners.
Riding this momentum, TREASURE will release their debut single album containing ‘Here I Stand’ on the 29th. The album includes the theme song for the popular Japanese animation film ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Magic Emperor,’ as well as a newly re-recorded ‘BEAUTIFUL (Ballad Ver.).’
Despite the pandemic and limited local activities, TREASURE, who made their official debut in Japan in March 2021, has topped both Oricon and Line Music charts with all three of their Japanese albums. With all their title tracks hitting number one, their new original single is expected to receive positive feedback as well.
TREASURE also set a new record for the highest attendance by a Korean artist on their first Japanese tour, attracting nearly 300,000 fans across 26 shows in 8 cities from Fukuoka in November last year to Kyocera Dome Osaka’s special performance in January. As a group recognized for their live performances, they have confirmed their appearance on the main stage of Japan’s representative music festival ‘SUMMER SONIC 2023’ in August, continuing their rise in local popularity.
Meanwhile, TREASURE, who kicked off their first Asian tour in Taipei, has successfully completed their performances in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. They will continue to connect with local fans in Bangkok on March 31st, April 1st, and 2nd, Singapore on April 8th, Manila on April 14th and 15th, Macau on April 22nd, and Hong Kong on May 20th.
