[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group TREASURE proved their unrivaled popularity in Japan by topping Japan’s major music site’s weekly chart.

According to YG Entertainment on the 8th, the pre-release song for TREASURE’s first Japanese single ‘Here I Stand – Anime Edit’ took the first spot on Line Music’s Weekly Chart (2023.02.01 ~ 2023.02.07). The song reached to the first spot immediately after it was released on the 30th of January taking over the real-time and daily chart, and now it has swept the weekly chart as well.

‘Here I Stand’ is a pop-genre original Japanese song with trendy band sounds, and was chosen as the sound track for Japan’s popular animation film ‘Black Clover: Mahou Tei no Ken’, which will be released in Japan on the 31st of March. The song maximized the message of continuing to leap forward no matter how difficult the situation gets through TREASURE’s distinctive energetic voice.

Following the surprise performance of the song during their concert at Kyocera Dome Osaka, the group shocked and excited their fans by releasing the short version of the song at 12am of the 30th. The song is also garnering great attention and popularity by trending on high-ranks of music sites such as Rakuten’s Music Weekly Chart, which they topped, and AWA and iTunes.

Without any particular promotion activities in Japan, all TREASURE’s title-songs released in Japan such as ‘BOY’, I LOVE YOU’, ‘MMM’, ‘MY TREASURE’, ‘BEAUTIFUL’, JIKJIN’, ‘U’, and ‘HELLO’ all ranked first on Japan’s major music sites. As their surprise song ‘Here I stand’ which was released to pay back fan’s enthusiastic responses also reached the top, it’s become very obvious that the group is being loved in Japan.

TREASURE brought together 300,000 audiences through their 26 concerts in 8 cities in Japan, breaking the record of the most number of audiences for a K-POP artist who has never held a concert in Japan for. Riding on the popularity, the group will kick off their tour in Asia starting with Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Macau, and Hong Kong, and add fuel to their ongoing popularity.
