TREASURE carried out ‘TREASURE JAPAN TOUR 2022-23 ~HELLO~ SPECIAL in KYOCERA DOME OSAKA’ on the 28th~29th of January at Japan’s Kyosera Dome Osaka.
TREASURE had previously met with approximately 220,00 fans by carrying out 24 concerts in 7 cities. With the special concert, TREASURE met with 80,000 more fans, bringing together a total of close to 300,000 fans nationwide. This is the greatest number of audiences for a K-Pop idol group that held a Japan tour for the first time since its debut. Japanese media are also paying attention to TREASURE’s meaningful records. At the press conference held ahead of the final performance, major media outlets including 6 sports magazines attended, showing how much interest is being paid to the group.
Not only through the media, but the amount of interest that’s being paid to TREASURE can also be seen both online and offline. Keywords related to TREASURE popped up in real-time on social media, and fans poured into TREASURE’s pop-up store located in central Osaka, and to TREASURE’s section at Japan’s major music store Tower Record to buy their albums and goods. A live viewing session was also organized in 78 theatres, live-streaming the concert in real time.
As the concert began, fans stood up altogether and welcomed TREASURE members with loud cheering and the TEU-LIGHTS. As if to pay back their love, members kicked off the concert with ‘JIKJIN’, and filled the whole 180 minutes with songs that swept Japanese charts and different unit performances, including ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, and ‘HELLO’.
TREASURE had previously wrapped up two successful concerts in Korea and headed to Japan for their tour. The group freely ran around the stage, giving off energetic vibes, and proved how they’ve grown into ‘Performance idols’ following BIGBANG, with perfected stages and live skills.
After finishing off their dome performance, scheduled right after their first arena tour since debut, the members couldn’t help but shed tears of happiness. ASAHI, who was born in Osaka, said, “I dreamed of becoming a singer after seeing YG artists perform here. I can’t describe how emotional I feel about performing at such a meaningful venue”.
Other members also thanked everyone who joined hands for the tour. They said “We’d like to say thank you and that we love you to all our YG FAMILY and YANG HYUN-SUK who produced us. More than anything, we can only exist thanks to fans. We’ll make sure to become a proud artist of yours.
Meanwhile, TREASURE will kick off their Asia tour in March starting off in Taipei, and be carried out in the order of Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Macau, and Hong Kong, and add fuel to their ongoing popularity.
