BLACKPINK To Hold ‘Shut Down’ Cover Contest…Total of 30 million won in Prize Money
[뉴시스=최윤정 기자] Group BLACKPINK will hold a cover contest for their 2nd full album title-song ‘Shut Down’.
BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment said on the 22nd that they’ll hold a cover contest for ‘Shut Down’ until the 6th of October.
Shut Down is a song that shows the perfect harmony between the sampled sounds of Paganini’s ‘La Campanella’ and hip-hop beats, and has been maintaining the top spot on Spotify’s Daily Top Song Global Chart for 5 consecutive days.
Participants must upload the cover of the whole ‘Shut Down’ song as a dance, vocal, or a musical instrument, and use hashtags (#BLACKPINK #블랙핑크 #ShutDown #CoverContest #220922_221006 #YG) before uploading it on YouTube. They then must submit an application through a Google Form.
Clips that were uploaded before the contest notice can also be submitted. All applications will be reviewed and winners will be decided based on the number of views and YG’s internal evaluation. 30 million won will be given out to 5 winning teams (one grand prize winner, two top prize winners, and 2 runner-up winners).
