[이데일리 스타in=조태영 기자] BLACKPINK took the top spot on U.S. Billboard’s main chart for two consecutive weeks with its ‘Pink Venom’, the pre-release single from their 2nd full albuM.

According to the recent chart released by U.S. billboard on their website and social media on the 6th (local time), BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ took the top spot on both the Billboard Global 200 Chart and Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) Chart. BLACKPINK is the first K-POP female artist to be listed as the first on Billboard’s main chart for two consecutive weeks.

Their Global 200 record goes beyond their previous record of ranking 2nd with ‘Lovesick Girls’ which they released back in October 2020. They also ranked 22nd on Billboard’s HOT 100 chart, which is their best record as a single-song.

BLACKPINK is making their presence clear not just on Billboard, but on various global charts as well. They ranked 2nd on Spotify’s Top Song Global Weekly Chart, and they’ve also been ranked highly on UK’s official single chart for two consecutive weeks after entering the chart as 22nd.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will be releasing their 2nd full album ‘BORN PINK’ at 1PM of the 16th. Their title song is ‘Shut Down’.
