BLACKPINK Charted on Billboard’s Hot 100·Billboard 200 For 3 Consecutive Weeks

[한국경제TV=유병철기자] BLACKPINK set an important milestone in K-Pop girl group history by being ranked on Billboard’s main charts for 3 consecutive weeks.
According to Billboard’s most recent chart results announced on the 30th(local time), BLACKPINK’s ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was ranked at no. 86 on the ‘Hot 100’, which is Billboard’s main singles chart. Their EP album with the same title was ranked at no. 129 on the ‘Billboard 200’, which is Billboard’s main albums chart.
After releasing ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ on April 5, BLACKPINK entered the ‘Hot 100’ and ‘Billboard 200’ as no. 41 and no. 24, respectively. This was the ‘best’ and ‘fastest’ record among all K-Pop girl groups.
While-letting the people look forward to good news by maintaining at the ranks during the second week as no. 73 and no. 93 on the ‘Hot 100’ and ‘Billboard 200’, BLACKPINK even renewed their own ‘longest’ record to be ranked on Billboard’s main charts by remaining at the according charts for 3 consecutive weeks.
BLACKPINK’s steady popularity is not limited to just the United States. ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was also ranked at UK’s ‘Official Singles Chart Top 100’, one of the two biggest music charts in the world along with Billboard, for 3 consecutive weeks.
BLACKPINK is reviewed to have laid the foundation stone for their successful activities in the US by presenting their capabilities through the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ and their concert performances.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on a North America tour. The group has successfully performed in Hamilton, Canada on the 27th, and will hold a concert n Newark, New Jersey on May 1st and 2nd.
