BLACKPINK Unveils Avatar MV for Special Track ‘Ready For Love’…Expands Metaverse Territory
[OSEN=지민경 기자] The M/V for BLACKPINK’s special track for ‘Battle Ground Mobile’ in-game concert ‘Ready For Love’ unveiled itself at 1PM (KST) on the 29th.
‘Ready For Love’ is a song that has an intense drop towards the end, breaking through the lyrical piano sound. It took over the eyes and ears of music fans after the first verse and performance was revealed for the first time during BLACKPINK’s in-game concert [THE VIRTUAL].
The M/V for ‘Ready For Love’ provided viewers with a new experience with its fantasy elements full of mise en scene and straight-forward story line. BLACKPINK’s 3d avatar appeared amid the 3-dimensional sounds and visuals from the virtual world, intriguing viewers and adding more fun elements to the M/V.
Another key point to the M/V was seeing the graphics that paid homage to BLACKPINK’s existing music videos, along with collaboration assets with ‘Battle Ground Mobile’. The opening resembled the motion of game users falling from the sky, and various elements of ‘Battle Ground Mobile’ were hidden in the music video, with easter eggs such as helmets, supply boxes, and energy drinks making an appearance.
‘Battle Ground Mobile’ said, “We portrayed BLACKPINK singing the song of hope after overcoming difficulties. The flowers all four members JISOO (Winter-Vikendi), JENNIE (Sea-Erangel), ROSÉ (Forest-SANHOK), and LISA (Dessert- Miramar) represent are different and important, so please make sure to pay attention to this point”.
BLACKPINK said “This meaningful collaboration with ‘Battle Ground Mobile’ which is being loved by so many people around the world is exciting. We hope our fans can feel this special experience as well”.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s in-game concert [THE VIRTUAL] can be viewed via Battle Ground Mobile for 48 hours once again from July 30th till the 31st. BLACKPINK is set to make a comeback as a whole group in August, and carry out various new projects related to the song, before heading out for the biggest scale world tour as a K-POP girl group.
