WINNER, “Utmost Trust Is Why We Renewed Our Contract With YG”
[이데일리 스타in=김현식 기자] Boy group WINNER talked about why they renewed their contract with YG Entertainment.
WINNER held a press conference at 11AM on the 5th at YG Entertainment’s building located in Hapjeongdong, Mapogu Seoul, commemorating the release of their 4TH mini-album ‘HOLIDAY’
‘HOLIDAY’ comes in about 2 years and 3 months since WINNER released their 3rd full-album ‘Remember’ in April 2020. It’s also the first album they’re releasing since renewing their 5 year contract with YG Entertainment last year.
When asked why they decided to renew their contract, YOON said, “The biggest reason was because the four of us could be together. That was the main focus.”
He then added “We also considered the synergy we created with our staff members who’s been with us for more than 10 years since we were trainees. We felt very comfortable working with them, so the renewal came naturally, as we knew we could work with them with great satisfaction.”
HOONY said “Our members have been together for more than 10 years since trainee days, and we’re still so happy together, we laugh whenever we see each other”, putting a smile on members’ faces. He then added “Trust with YG was the basis as they helped us become tight.”
Meanwhile, a total of 6 songs including their title-song ‘I LOVE YOU’, which talks about a man falling in love, ‘10 MINS’, ‘HOLIDAY’, ‘SWEET HOME’, ‘FAMILY’, and ‘LITTLE FINGER’ is listed on their new album. All songs will be unveiled through various music sites at 6PM today.
