TREASURE Unveils Concept Poster for New Album…Explodes With Aura
[MK스포츠=김나영 기자] YG mega group TREASURE who is soon to make a comeback, unveiled their new group shot for the first time, drawing attention from global fans.
YG Entertainment uploaded ‘TREASURE – ’THE SECOND STEP’ CONCEPT POSTER’ at 12 a.m. on the 17th.
TREASURE members who all dressed in white exploded with energetic aura while standing in front of a colorful background. What stood out even more was how all 12 members had similar yet different looks with sophisticated styling and confident facial expressions. The fact that their visuals changed in a more mature way also drew attention.
The poster also drew curiosity as to what symbolic connection the treasure drawn at the top of the poster and the pattern of the background will have in their new album. The group previously had released a ‘motion teaser’ containing 12 dots, lines, circles, and messages, hinting at the special meaning of the new album.
TREASURE will be releasing ‘THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE’ on the 15th of February. Unlike ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series which was a single album, the upcoming album comes in the form of a mini album. Although the tracklist hasn’t been unveiled just yet, active activities are expected as more new songs are contained.
YG said “TREASURE’s second step will shine even more with fans’ participation”. They then added “Please look forward to how they will take over this year alongside fans”.
Meanwhile TREASURE released four albums in a row since their debut in August 2020 over approximately five months. They quickly established themselves as a rising star after selling a total of 1 million copies and sweeping various Rookie of the Year awards that year.
