MINO’s Solo Concert ‘MANIAC’ Showed Ultimate Hip-hop…”Gave His All”
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] MINO from WINNER showed explosive hip-hop swag, making global fans’ heart beat fast with his first solo concert.
MINO successfully conducted his first solo concert ‘YG PLAM STAGE- 2021 MINO: MANIAC’ which was held both offline and online at Seoul Bangi-dong Olympic Hall on the 19th.
The performance lived up to the concert title ‘MANIAC’. Due to COVID-19 prevention measures, viewers couldn’t scream from the top of their lungs out of excitement and had to cheer with their blue light sticks instead, but his intense rapping and performance was more than enough to make the viewers go crazy.
◇ A total of 26 songs…passionate stages made every moment a ‘climax’
MINO filled the 130 so minutes with a total of 26 songs. Starting from ‘LOVE AND A BOY’, ‘Pow!’, ‘TRIGGER’, ‘I’M HIM’, ‘ROCKET’, his energy had no stop to it, and lifted up the concert atmosphere straight away.
The theme which was to story tell the topic of desire, fantasy, love, and one-self, showed a distinctive storyline, working in great harmony with MINO’s very own musical perspective along with his free yet overwhelming energy.
iKON BOBBY and WINNER YOON appeared as surprise guests, and the performances they did together also took over the eyes and ears of fans. MINO performed songs from their unit ‘MOBB (MINO & BOBBY) with BOBBY including ‘OK MAN’, ‘FULL HOUSE’, ‘HIT ME’, and performed ‘Fear’ with YOON. The collaborative performances showed how strong their synergy is together and touched the hearts of fans along with presenting them with excitement.
◇ High quality sound that broke the boundaries of online and offline.
The energy of the venue reached out to online audiences as well, heating up the streaming chat session. Compliments poured in for MINO’s creative stage, sophisticated stage production, VCR graphics filled with color, and various arrangements that did not bore the audience one bit.
In particular, high-quality sound from a live band which sounded just like the CD, delivered the atmosphere well to audiences. Camera movings and multi-view which captured the highlight of each move, and MINO’s mischievous wit using this made viewers’ heart-pound making them feel as if they’re in the same space.
◇ Gave his all…notified of a ‘comeback’ by unveiling his new song.
The highlight of the performance was MINO’s stage of his new song which garnered so much attention from his fans. It was a song listed in his new album, and sentimental piano sounds and MINO’s vocals stood out in the song. The melodies which wasn’t typical and calm atmosphere made fans fall into it as they viewed the performance. It was enough to garner even more attention for his upcoming comeback.
MINO said “My album is coming out soon. You have to concentrate on it every day even after this concert finishes. I might just appear like BAMM out of the blue so please wait for me”.
He also said, “Today is the day I got to accomplish another dream. This is something that would’ve been impossible without you INNERCIRCLEs so I’m always thankful, and I love you”. He then added “I’d be satisfied if my stage could give you guys some strength amid these difficult times. I’ll meet you guys again with better music”.
