BLACKPINK’s ‘As If It’s Your Last’ MV Reaches 1.1 billion…‘Most’ Out of K-POP Artists
[MK스포츠=김나영 기자] BLACKPINK’s ‘As If It’s Your Last’ music video reached more than 1.1 billion views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 18th, the music video for BLACKPINK’s ‘As If It’s Your Last’ reached more than 1.1 billion views on YouTube as of 5pm that day.
This is 7 months after it reached the feat of recording 1 billion views. Even though it’s been more than 4 years since it was released, this shows how global fans love and interest for the song continues on.
As a result, BLACKPINK now has 4 music videos that have more than 1.1 billion views. This is a record among both male and female K-POP artists. The music videos for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, ‘Kill This Love’, ‘BOOMBAYAH’ which reached the 1.1 billion threshold earlier is now heading towards 1.8 billion, 1.5 billion, and 1.4 billion views respectively.
‘As If It’s Your Last’ is a song where addictive synth lead and romantic lyrics stand out. The song which was released in June 2017 was chosen as ‘YouTube’s Global Top 25 Songs of the Summer’. It also was chosen as ‘The most loved K-POP video in the world’ that year.
Meanwhile BLACKPINK who has a total of 32 videos that reached more than hundreds of millions of views almost has 70 million subscribers on YouTube. With LISA’s successful debut as a solo artist, it recently added nearly 5 million more subscribers. BLACKPINK is solidifying their presence as the no.1 in this category world-wide.
