LISA To Unveil Performance Video for ‘MONEY’ on the 23rd…Fans Can Expect Outstanding Swag
[마이데일리=정지현 기자] Attention is being drawn as a special performance video for BLACKPINK member LISA’s solo album track song ‘MONEY’ has been announced.
According to YG Entertainment, the Exclusive Performance Video for LISA’s track song ‘MONEY’ will be unveiled at 12 a.m. on the 23rd.
‘’MONEY’ is a hip-hop genre song that has a minimal yet sophisticated touch to it. While maintaining the musical characteristics LISA had with BLACKPINK activities, it’s a song that shows LISA’s straightforward yet glamours charms as a solo artist. The song’s characteristics include addictive brass riff with strong piano sounds, and straight forward lyrics which create perfect harmony together.
That’s why the song garnered great responses from BLINKs as much as the album title song ‘LALISA’ after it was released. However, as there weren’t any music videos or music show stage performances for ‘MONEY’, fans were wondering even more curious about the song.
YG Entertainment said “We prepared our very own special performance for many global fans that are waiting for LISA’s stage performance for MONEY”. They then added “LISA also did her best to meet the expectations and passion the fans have been showing her”.
YG Entertainment previously boasted off their overwhelming scale and high-quality when it comes to producing performance videos with a special stage performance video for ‘LALISA’ which was produced exclusively by YG.
The performance video is expected to portray LISA’s outstanding hip-hop swag. In particular, ‘MONEY’ has a dance break segment towards the end that dramatically heightens the mood of the song in the second verse, and fans are wondering how LISA will be portraying this part with her performance skills.
Meanwhile LISA has been taking over various global charts since releasing her solo album ‘LALISA’ on the 10th. So far she has reached the top spot on the iTunes Top Song Chart in a total of 72 countries and entered the 15th spot of the Spotify global chart. Not only this but the song took the first place of the Global YouTube Song Chart, showing how influential she is in the mainstream pop market.
She is also breaking various new records. Her music video for the title song ‘LALISA’ recorded 73.6 million views in 24 hours on YouTube, breaking the world record as a solo artist. The video then reached 100 million views within two days, which was the shortest amount of time to reach such a feat as a K-POP solo artist.
Initial sales for the ‘LALISA’ album are also outstanding. According to the initial sales figure released by the Hanteo Chart on the 17th, the album recorded a total of 736,221 sales. This figure is higher than the initial sales of BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” which recorded approximately 690,00 copies. Once overseas sales are included, it is expected that the figure will jump well over 800,000 copies.
