YG TREASURE to Hold First-Ever Global Fan Meeting on October 2nd… Online and Offline
[뉴시스=이재훈 기자] YG Entertainment’s rookie group ‘TREASURE’ will hold their first-ever global fan meeting.
According to YG on October 23, TREASURE will hold the ‘TREASURE 1st PRIVATE STAGE – TEU-DAY’ on October 2nd at 4 PM in Olympic Hall, located in Bangyi-dong, Seoul.
‘PRIVATE STAGE’ is YG’s fan meeting brand. The event will be held offline and online simultaneously.
The title of the fan meeting combines the pronunciation of the first syllables from ‘TODAY’ and ‘TEU’ from ‘TEUME’, which is the English name used for the group’s fan club, ‘TREASURE MAKER’. YG introduced, “It represents the exact moment and the day TREASURE and TEUME meet for the first time”.
The online ticket sales will begin starting on September 1st at 2 PM, through Weverse shop. TREASURE MAKER membership holders on Weverse will be given the chance to purchase pre-sale offline tickets from September 8th at 8 PM until the 10th.
The offline show may be canceled due to social distancing regulations regarding the spread of COVID-19.
After making debut last year on August, TREASURE released consecutive albums as part of ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series and reached over 1 million in total sales. They swept rookie awards in major Korean music award ceremonies and won 5 titles in major Japanese Weekly Album Rankings including Oricon·Line Music·Billboard Japan with their first Japanese album, ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’.
