TREASURE’s 120% Pure ‘Mafia Game’, An Unexpected Plot Twist
[OSEN=박판석 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE presented heart-racing thrill and exhilarating fun through intense mind games as they tried to find the hidden mafia.
On Episode 52 of ‘TREASURE MAP’ Season 2 uploaded through YG Entertainment’s official blog on the 25th at 12 PM, TREASURE played a mafia game, putting others into traps only by using facial expressions and communications.
CHOI HYUN SUK was the host of the game. He assigned roles ‘mafia’, ‘police’, ‘doctor’, and ‘agent(citizen)’ fairly and led the game to an interesting plot. The winning team was to receive individual ‘flex’ tickets, and the host was to be included depending on whether the mafia team wins or loses.
The first round began and the members revealed their identities through the ‘truth or lie’ game. As a result, JUNKYU was selected as a strong mafia candidate. JUNKYU showed confidence in the game and suspected JIHOON, YOON JAE HYUK, and BANG YE DAM, but was the first one to be eliminated.
In order for the agent team to win, the doctor had to save only the police. PARK JEONG WOO revealed that he is a policeman and chose DOYOUNG as the mafia. However, DOYOUNG was an agent. After finding out, PARK JEONG WOO was worried that he will be eliminated next.
While the game fell into a maze, the three mafia members JIHOON, HARUTO, and SO JUNG HWAN were unveiled due to the host’s order. The eliminated members were in shock because they were not suspected at all.
The final 3 members remained, while YOSHI and ASAHI selected JIHOON as the mafia, leading to the final plead. JIHOON argued that “suspicion without evidence does not count”, but the members kept on suspecting him, leading to his voluntary resignation. The agent team won the first round of the mafia game.
On round 2, 4 members were selected as mafia which led to a more intense mind game. The members who fell for YOON JAE HYUK’s lie could not find all mafia members, leading to YOSHI, ASAHI, YOON JAE HYUK, and BANG YE DAM’s victory as the mafia team.
TREASURE reminisced their trainee days as they finished the mafia game. CHOI HYUN SUK left a heart touching comment by stating, “It feels special to play the game we used to play after practice in a set, wearing suits after making debut”.
