[OSEN=이승훈 기자] YG rookie group TREASURE’s official light sticks are receiving favorable responses from the global fans.
According to YG Entertainment, TREASURE’s official light sticks were sold out in 2 hours after pre-order became available through Weverse Shop on the 21st.
YG secured additional supplies due to the high demand surpassing their initial forecast. As a result, YG revealed that they will begin receiving 2nd pre-orders of TREASURE’s official light sticks starting from today(22nd) at 2 PM.
YG stated, “We will produce additional supplies due to the flooding demand and interest from fans in and out of Korea” and added, “Sales will open on the 28th through different online channels overseas and through offline stores”.
Meanwhile, TREASURE’s official light sticks were created as a shape of a treasure, which symbolizes TREASURE and the TREASURE Makers(fandom). The light sticks were produced in transparent color with the meaning that the members will continue to present their various colors and charms in the future.
In addition to its fresh design, various functions of the light sticks also grabbed the fans’ hearts. The functions include the ‘live reaction mode’ which allows the users to enjoy TREASURE’s music with lights shining in sync with the song, a function which allows its users to listen to the ASMR recorded by the members of TREASURE, and also a light adjustment feature.
After making debut last year on August, TREASURE has notified the birth of a global star group by reaching a total of over 1M in sales with ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series albums. The group swept rookie awards in major Korean award ceremonies and has recently released their first Japanese debut album, ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’. The album has won 5 titles on major Japanese Weekly Album Rankings including the Oricon·Line Music·Billboard Japan.
