YG TREASURE Receives ‘Boot Camp Training’
[스타뉴스=김수진 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE challenged boot camp training with their passion on par with ‘Steel Troops’ and strengthened their teamwork.
On episode 51 of ‘TREASURE MAP’ season 2 uploaded on YG Entertainment’s official blog on the 18th at 12 PM, members of TREASURE struggled after entering a boot camp to receive training.
TREASURE(CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, SO JUNG HWAN) planned a trip to Busan as part of the ‘1M promise’ they have made during the ‘TREASURE MAP’ Iksan episode. However, the bus took TREASURE to a boot camp in Pohang, full of military instructors and plan cards. The members were flustered and ran to the instructors, while their harsh training began with the instructor yelling, “Stop what you’re doing!”.
After entering the base, the members changed to military uniforms and began their close-order drill. TREASURE repeated their training on commands ‘attention’, ‘double file’, ‘left turn’, and ‘right turn’. They were confused at first but eventually became ‘turning masters’ after restless practice.
Gymnastics training began after the close-order drill. The members focused on ‘jumping with wide arms’ and ‘twisting bodies’. ASAHI moved off beat with his ‘self-order’ even during breathing time as he refused to be the ordinary, which made JIHOON burst into laughter, leading to continuous harsh training.
During the ranger training, the members challenged ‘rope climbing’. They had to climb the rope to the top and come down before their opponent. After a tense showdown, JIHOON, JUNKYU, YOON JAE HYUK, HARUTO, and SO JUNG HWAN won after arriving to the goal line first. The members supported each other while competing, which showed off the group’s amazing comradeship.
The fourth training was the ‘complex adventure course’. It was a highly advanced training which the trainees had to cross stepping stones, a log, and a three-lined bridge. While the members were in fear, SO JUNG HWAN made them cheer by confidently yelling, “I’ll fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee!”. CHOI HYUN SUK, JUNKYU, and DOYOUNG passed 11m in the sky and cleared the group mission under each other’s support and encouragement.
TREASURE took care of each other despite the strong and tough wind and harsh training. BANG YE DAM praised the members by stating, “I realized all 12 members are courageous and cool”. JUNKYU and ASAHI shared his thoughts on completing the training by stating, “It was a meaningful experience that made us all become united”.
