TREASURE JIHOON’s ‘Inkigayo’ MC Debut Behind Story… CHOI HYUN SUK as Daily Manager
[헤럴드POP=박서연 기자] The SBS ‘Inkigayo’ MC debut story by JIHOON of TREASURE has been revealed.
On March 13 at 12 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded episode 18 of TREASURE’s self-produced series ‘T.M.I’ (Treasure Maker Interaction).
After appearing with a self-cam unlike the other episodes, JIHOON stated, “I’m becoming and MC today” and added, “It’s exciting, amazing, but I feel a bit empty because I’m away from my members”. However, there was a member at the schedule scene waiting for him, as if he read JIHOON’s mind. That was, CHOI HYUN SUK.
CHOI HYUN SUK was waiting for him with flowers as a surprise. He represented the members who could not visit due to the limitation on the number of people, and worked as a daily manager to support him. CHOI HYUK SUK took care of his meal, pre-recording monitor, and photoshoot.
CHOI HYUN SUK left a warming video by stating, “JIHOON will do well. If he can’t, who would become an MC. JIHOON is the best”. JIHOON also expressed his gratitude by stating, “I was touched that you came. I feel less nervous thanks to CHOI HYUN SUK” and added, “I’ll take this energy and do well on the live broadcast”.
After being left alone in the waiting room after CHOI HYUN SUK left, JIHOON did not take his eyes off the script and continued to practice.
JIHOON made his debut as the MC of SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 7th. After becoming an MC of a terrestrial music broadcast program, which is known to be the ‘K-Pop Star Gateway’, JIHOON grabbed the viewers’ eyes and ears with his jolly charms and smooth abilities as a host.
Meanwhile, TREASURE, the group JIHOON is part of, will make their official Japanese debut on March 31. The Japanese versions of 4 songs released on the 10th including ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, ‘MMM’, and ‘MY TREASURE’ was placed on the top ranks of Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music platform, while ‘BOY’ is maintaining its no. 1 spot for 3 consecutive days, noticing the group’s upcoming popularity storm.
