TREASURE at No. 1 on Japan’s Line Music for 2 Days… First Comeback Performance Today(8th) Through ‘Inkigayo’
[엑스포츠뉴스=김유진 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE was ranked at no. 1 on Line Music, the biggest music platform in Japan, for 2 consecutive days. Meanwhile, the group will appear on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ today(8th) and present their first comeback performance.
The title song ‘MMM’ from TREASURE’s third single album was ranked at no. 1 on the Top 100 chart of Japan’s Line Music on the 8th as of 7 AM. After its release on the 6th at 6 PM, ‘MMM’ topped the Line Music Top 100 chart and remained at the top ranks and took its crown once again today.
The fact that a K-Pop group who has made debut in just 3 months has topped the according chart 3 consecutive times without local promotional activities is amazing and proves that their rise and popularity are not ‘temporary’. Their second single title song ‘I LOVE YOU’ has been ranked at no. 3 on Line Music’s Weekly chart back in September, which shows that TREASURE has solidified their presence among Japanese fans.
Furthermore, TREASURE’s full-scale music broadcast appearances have also begun, grabbing the attention of global fans.
According to YG, TREASURE will appear on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ today(8th) and present their title song ‘MMM’.
Through an unprecedented promotion method, TREASURE has previewed 1 minute and 30 seconds of the dance performance for ‘MMM’, making the people pay keen attention to their dominant full-version performance.
Their new song ‘MMM’ is a Hybrid Trap song with a catchy groove and Hip-hop sounds, which is one of YG’s biggest strengths. The point moves of covering one’s mouth with hands on the killing part of the chorus when they sing ‘Mmm’, the metallic sounds that reminds the listeners of gun shots, and the chorography that explodes on beat are raising anticipation on their live performance.
The MV for ‘MMM’ has also surpassed 7M views in 36 hours since its release on YouTube, under the positive reviews of global fans. Considering that the MV for ‘I LOVE YOU’ has surpassed 10M views in approximately 72 hours, one can notice that their view collecting speed has increased.
TREASURE has shown off their growth in music, performances, and visuals through their third single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE’.
