G-Dragon’s new album 70-80% done, release date confirmed
BigBang’s G-Dragon came back with an announcement about his new solo album.
G-Dragon, March 21, held a press conference for his world tour concert ONE OF A KIND at KBS Sports World in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
At the press conference, G-Dragon announced, “my new album is 70-80% done. I started working on it since last year but now is not the time to release it. We have decided on the date of release but this will be announced later.”
He added, “I will continue to edit the album. BigBang’s tour just finished and I am now preparing for a big concert so I am physically and emotionally tired, but I have hopes for my new album. I think the new album is a chance for me to upgrade my abilities and will be more solid than before.”
G-Dragon, at his 2013 World Tour: ONE OF A KIND, which will be held at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena on March 30 and 31, will joined by 550,000 fans from all around the world.
This concert is G-Dragon’s first concert in four years since his last one in 2009, SHINE A LIGHT. The previous one was limited to venues in Korea, but this time, his World Tour will travel all across the globe, giving him a chance to meet his international fans.
The concert itself is a testament to G-Dragon’s huge success because he will be the first Korean solo artist to hold concerts in Japan’s four largest stadiums. His tour starts in Seoul and will perform every week from then until the end of June. 550,000 fans will be coming to see the talented artist.
Expectations build up as two extremely talented creative directors joined in for G-Dragon’s concert: Travis Payne and Stacy Walker, who were in charge of the choreography and directing for This Is It, for Michael Jackson, the King of Pop.
