On October 16 at 6 PM, LEE SUHYUN will release her first solo album, ‘ALIEN’.
‘ALIEN’ is a trendy Dance Pop genre song. The odd lyrics which begin with a mother confessing to her daughter, who has no self-esteem, that she is actually an alien, is impressive and distinguished.
“’ALIEN’ is an odd concept that is hard to define. The story of ‘ALIEN’ begins as a mother confesses a secret story to encourage her daughter, who has low self-esteem. That she is actually an ‘ALIEN’ who has superpowers that can shake up the earth. The daughter gets encouraged and finds her ego as a super alien. LEE SUHYUN let herself known to the public through SBS ‘K-Pop Star’ back in 2013 with her brother LEE CHAN HYUK, made official debut in 2014, and changed the group name to AKMU last year. They’ve released numerous hits for the past 6 years including ‘LAST GOODBYE’, ‘How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You’re the One I Love’, ‘Is It Ramen’, and ‘You Are Attractive’. ‘ALIEN’ is gathering the attention of many music fans since it is LEE SUHYUN’s first-ever solo album being presented in 6 years since she made debut.
“I’ve been preparing my solo song for a long time, and I’m happy to finally present it. I’ve wanted to draw an odd and fresh character which only I can present as a solo, and also wanted to express my variety of skills which is hard for me to show through AKMU. I’ve tried challenging many new things, stopped and began from scratch many times. “I’ve thought a lot while working after deciding to release a solo song. Songs of numerous genres passed by in the process. I think it’s because I like music of all kinds, and there were so many things I wanted to do. After some time, when I met ‘ALIEN’, I was confident that I can really do well and have fun, which allowed me to present myself as a solo artist. The process of recording ‘ALIEN’ was fast, and I’ve made numerous challenges not only in the music, but also visually. The agency gave me full-hearted support, so I was able to express myself without regrets. I’ve made my first step as a solo, so I tend to focus on presenting myself and the music as solo LEE SUHYUN and as LEE SUHYUN of AKMU.
