[OSEN=김은애 기자] Pop star Ariana Grande revealed her attention towards BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s upcoming single, ‘Ice Cream’.
On August 21 at 11 PM, YG Entertainment notified BLACKPINK’s new single title through their official blog by uploading their title poster.
Selena Gomez also uploaded a photo of her holding ice cream on her Instagram account, raising the curiosities of fans and gathering their attention.
YG has previously hinted, “BLACKPINK’s upcoming single is cool music which will go well with the hot summer”.
Regarding the song, producer Tommy Brown who made Ariana Grande’s numerous hits uploaded a poster of ‘Ice Cream’ and revealed his excitement by writing, “Produced by me and some of my awesome friends. I’m so excited”.
Tommy Brown visited Korea last year and uploaded a photo taken with BLACKPINK, explaining that he had a good time.
Ariana Grande captured the post and uploaded it in her story. Ariana Grande wrote, “Proud of the squad and so excited for this. So much love for this team and these ladies”. She tagged the accounts pf BLACKPINK, Selena Gomez, and Tommy Brown.
The fact that Ariana Grande mentioned BLACKPINK herself and since her close relationship is known to Pop music fans, the news gathered a lot of attention. Ariana Grande pressed ‘like’ on her social media regarding the news that BLACKPINK is releasing the song, revealing her excitement.
Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK has previously gathered the fans’ attention by meeting at ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’, the which grabbed the attention of music fans.
Meanwhile, ‘Ice Cream’ will be released on August 28 at 12AM EST and at 1PM KST on the same day. Since it is a song targeting the global market, the people are expected to respond with heat.
