BLACKPINK X Selena Gomez’s ‘Ice Cream’ Lyric Video Revealed
[한국일보=진주희 기자] A video which one can see the lyrics of ‘Ice Cream’ by BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez as well as their lovely appearances, was released.
On September 19 at 1 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded the lyric video of BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ through their official blog and social media account.
The video was made with the concept of ‘SELPINK’, meaning JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, LISA, and Selena Gomez, making a video call with each other.
The spaces where they’ve appeared grabbed the people’s attention while JENNIE and LISA were also with pet animals, giving a peek of their daily lives.
When JISOO played the music, the lyric video began. Whenever the members’ singing were zoomed in, the rest of the members made big reactions and presented cute dance moves, which showed their ‘great chemistry’.
Their fresh-looking eyes and abundant facial expressions were naturally added as well, making the viewers smile.
BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ is a Pop genre song with exciting melodies and lyrics which state, ‘I’m actually sweet on the inside although I may look cold from the outside”.
The first-ever cute and fresh concept presented by BLACKPINK, known for their dominant performances and girl-crush charms, grabbed the global fans’ hearts.
‘Ice Cream’ was ranked at no. 13 on the Hot 100, which is Billboard’s main singles chart, setting the best K-Pop girl group record in history, as well as being ranked at no. 8 on the ‘Billboard Global 200’, which is a new chart focusing on digital music sales and streams.
Furthermore, they also topped the YouTube Music Global Top 100 chart for 2 consecutive weeks with dominant figures.
On October 2, BLACKPINK will release their first debut album ‘THE ALBUM’, in 4 years after making debut. On the 14th, their Netflix original documentary titled ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky’ will premiere, which is gathering the attention of global fans as well.
