[뉴스1=고승아 기자] Group TREASUARE revealed that they shed tears of joy on their debut day.

On August 10, TREASURE held a round interview celebrating the release of their first single album, ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’, in YGX headquarters located in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

On the thoughts asking how he felt after completing their first music broadcast performance, CHOI HYUN SUK answered, “It was hard to explain since it was our first performance as group TREASURE. It wasn’t yesterday, but we shed tears after performing live on the date of debut”.

BANG YE DAM, CHOI HYUN SUK, and PARK JEONG WOO revealed that they’ve shed tears. BANG YE DAM stated, “There’s the fact that I’ve practiced for a long time, but it also reminded me of the times we’ve practiced together, and when I looked back after thinking about what we’ve accomplished, CHOI HYUN SUK was crying. Then when I saw the members’ faces, I also shed tears”.

CHOI HYUN SUK recalled, “I think I  also felt emotional thinking of our trainee days. It was hard back then, and tears just came out when I thought of it”. PARK JEONG WOO added, “I also had high expectations and tried to hold back my tears but couldn’t after seeing two of my brothers cry”.

Meanwhile, TREASURE is YG Entertainment’s rookie group being presented in 4 years since BLACKPINK and is the agency’s fourth boy group following BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON who made debut on August 7th. They are composed of 12 members selected through ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, the self-produced survival program by the agency. Their average age is 19 and 4 of the members are from Japan.

The group’s debut title song ‘BOY’ has a strong beat and a catchy dance break drop which impress the listeners. They dynamically transforming track and ‘BOY’ish lyrics which contrast to the sound compose the song, while expressing how a boy rushes towards a girl due to an uncontrollable attraction he feels for the first time of his life. The song ‘COME TO ME’, containing the story of a boy throwing love bombs to change her mind, was also listed on their debut single album.
