G-Dragon Adds Hong Kong to His World Tour Following Korea and Japan
G-Dragon, following his concerts in Korea and Japan, decided to expand to Hong Kong.
On Tuesday, YG Entertainment raised the expectations of the fans by revealing on Facebook some of the countries in which G-Dragon will hold his world tour, ONE OF A KIND.
Since SHINE A LIGHT tour in 2009, G-Dragon’s latest solo concert is the first in four years. It is expected to kick off on March 30 and 31 at Seoul Olympic Gymnastic Arena and will be followed by concerts in Japan, Hong Kong and other countries.
BigBang have already proved their popularity in the Chinese region when their world tour tickets sold out as soon as they went on sale in Hong Kong, without using any kind of advertisement.
The 2012 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) that took place in Hong Kong was especially important for BigBang to prove their popularity because the group became the number one search term on Weibo, the largest social networking service in China.
In Japan, G-Dragon anticipates more than 361,000 fans to join him in his four largest stadium concerts (in Fukuoka’s Yahoo Japan Dome, Saitama’s Seibu Dome, Osaka’s Kyocera Dome and Aichi’s Nagoya Dome), the first for a Korean solo artist, as part of his world tour.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon’s world tour tickets in Seoul goes on sale at 8p.m. on March 5 and 6 through Gmarket, a Korean auction and shopping mall website. YG will also reveal G-Dragon’s touring countries in order.
