YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Reveals 12 Member Poster…Will Make Debut in July
[동아닷컴=정희연 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE revealed their group poster after officially announcing their debut in July.
On May 19, a poster of 12 members wearing outfits with TREASURE logos while revealing the team’s identity was revealed through YG Entertainment’s official blog.
The members revealed their presence through their sincere yet confident eyes. The phrases ‘TREASURE DEBUT COMING SOON’ and ‘JULY 2020’ on the poster raised the fans’ expectations once again.
TREASURE is a major rookie group being announced by YG in 4 years, since BLACKPINK’s debut. The group was created through the survival program ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, which aired from November 2018 until January 2019. They are YG’s 4th boy group following BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON, and are reviewed to be K-Pop’s most aspiring rookies of 2020.
TREASURE is composed of 12 members including CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN. They are expected to bring out fresh waves to the K-Pop scene this summer with their firm musical capabilities and performance skills.
The group is receiving heated attention not only from Korean fans, but also from the global music fans. As soon as the teaser clip notifying TREASURE’s debut was revealed on the 12th, the hashtag #TREASURE_DEBUT_ON_JULY became Twitter’s no. 1 global trend, filling up social media channels worldwide with heat.
Their performance film of ‘Going Crazy’, the signal song of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, surpassed a total of 20 million accumulated views on YouTube, proving the group’s explosive popularity prior to their official debut.
After beginning their full-scale debut project this year, TREASURE has prepared for their debut through various contents and their communication with the global fans. Each member’s special charms, positive change, and growth shown through photos and videos were revealed sequentially and received favorable reviews.
