According to News1 on November 29, BLACKPINK has begun recording their new album in secret, with the goal of making comeback early next year.
Related officials of YG Entertainment revealed, “We don’t have a specific date, but the group is aiming to make comeback early next year. The members of BLACKPINK are recording many new songs for their upcoming album”.
BLACKPINK has established themselves as a world-class girl group by setting milestones on the Billboard 200, UK Charts, and on YouTube through their song ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ released back in April. They have set the best Billboard record in K-Pop girl group history by being charted on the ‘Hot 100’ as no. 41 and on the ‘Billboard 200’ as no. 24. As a result, the people are looking forward to the new records BLACKPINK will set through their upcoming album next year.
BLACKPINK made debut back in August 8, 2016 with their double title songs including ‘WHISTLE’ and ‘BOOMBAYAH’. In addition to their charismatic charms and stage performances, their unique and sensual style created a sensation in the K-Pop scene. Their following releases such as ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’, ‘STAY’, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, and ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ also became mega-hits while receiving love and support from global fans.

BLACKPINK began their activities in the US this year including a North America tour. In addition to performing at Coachella, they appeared on well-known TV shows by ABC and CBS along with popular radio broadcasts.
The group also won 3 categories at the ‘People’s Choice Awards’, the well-known popular culture awards ceremony, including ‘The Music Video of 2019’, ‘The Group of 2019’, and ‘The Concert Tour of 2019’.
