YG, “BLACKPINK’s ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ MV Hits 700M Views”… Reveals Congratulatory Poster
[마이데일리=이예은 기자] Group BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop group to hold 3 MVs with over 700M views.
YG Entertainment revealed, “BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 700M views on YouTube as of October 31 at 12:51 AM”. To celebrate their achievement, YG uploaded a congratulatory poster containing an image of BLACKPINK back in 2017, when they were promoting the song ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ through their official blog.
Along with the MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’, BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop group to hold 3 MVs with over 700M views including their MV for ‘BOOMBAYAH’ which surpassed 700M views and the MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ which is the first K-Pop MV to surpass 900M views.
The MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, released last year on June, is about to surpass 1 billion views. The people are paying keen attention on whether BLACKPINK will reach the record of surpassing 1 billion views on a single MV, for the first time as a K-Pop group.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK has a total of 17 videos with over 100M views including their 8 MVs released since making debut, music broadcast videos, and choreography videos. In addition to the massive view counts, BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel has approximately 31 million subscribers.
After releasing their second mini album titled ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ this year on April, BLACKPINK successfully finished their first-ever world tour composed of 32 concerts held in a total of 23 cities in 4 different continents. They are scheduled to hold a dome tour consisted of 4 concerts in 3 cities of Japan and will perform in Tokyo Dome on December, in Osaka Kyocera Dome next year on January, and in Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome next year on February.
