“Who’s the Surprise Guest?” EUN JIWON to Hold Solo Concert Today(27th)
[일간스포츠=조연경 기자] EUN JIWON will hold his solo concert in Seoul today.
On July 27 at 6 PM and on July 28 at 5 PM, EUN JIWON will hold the ‘EUN JIWON 2019 CONCERT [ON FIRE]‘ in Peace Hall, Kyung Hee University and meet a total of 6,000 fans.
EUN JIWON has spent a lot of time practicing, to present a concert of high quality. After arriving at the hall on the 26th, a day before the concert, EUN JIWON began his rehearsal proactively after soothing his neck and stretching.
EUN JIWON carefully checked the direction, position, and even special devices prepared for each song to be performed. He also shared opinions with the staff, while presenting his passionate will for a perfect concert. It is said that EUN JIWON also brightened up the mood at the scene by yelling, ‘It’s so hard’ even while presenting performances which reminded people of an actual concert throughout the rehearsal.
“A Solo Concert by a Solo Hip-Hop Artist”
After making debut as the leader of SECHSKIES back in 1997, EUN JIWON became a 1st generation idol who released multiple hits such as ‘Pomseng Pomsa’ and ‘Couple’.
He later transformed into a Hip-Hop artist and released solo hits including ‘Drunk In Melody’, ‘Mi Casa’, ‘8t. Truck’, ‘All Famy’, ‘Siren’. And ‘Adios’, proving his strong presence.
EUN JIWON has recently performed in concerts a couple times as a member of SECHSKIES, but he has not held a solo concert as a solo Hip-Hop artist for a very long time.
His solo concert will reveal various new songs from his latest album ‘G1’, released in approximately 10 years, for the first time. Furthermore, songs from EUN JIWON’s past solo activities will also be included in the setlist to bring a sense of nostalgia.
‘ON FIRE’, A Fierce Stage Composition
The title of the concert is ‘ON FIRE’ and was named after the English title of the song ‘I’M ON FIRE (Feat. Blue.D)’ from his latest solo album released last month on the 27th. It shows EUN JIWON’s strong will to present a fiery and hot concert for the fans.
Just like the title of the concert, there will be various stage lights and videos that will embody fire and a fiery atmosphere.
The audience will feel a differentiated vibe through videos and set devices utilizing an LED screen. The concert will also display a differentiated mood through concrete walls and barbed wires, which represent a city turned to ruins.
‘Who’s the Surprise Guest?’
EUN JIWON appeared on MBC FM4U’s ‘Ji Sukjin’s 2 O’Clock Date’ on the 9th and noticed that there will b surprise guests on the concert.
EUN JIWON raised the fans’ expectations by stating, “Recruiting the guests was not easy, but it has been confirmed. I’m grateful that many people have decided to participate”.
On the question, “Are there any members of SECHSKIES who will appear as guests”, EUN JIWON raised the people’s curiosities by answering, “I think the members will just come to watch the show”.
