[OSEN=이소담 기자] BLACKPINK dominated their first-ever concert in Macau, leading the Chinese fans to sing-along in Korean with passion.

On June 8(local time), BLACKPINK successfully held their ‘BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] MACAO‘ in Cotai Arena, Macau.

After beginning the concert with ‘DDU-DDU DDU-DU’ and ‘FOREVER YOUNG’, BLACKPINK showed off their fluent English and Cantonese skills. The local fans cheered and looked pleased at BLACKPINK communicating with the fans in Cantonese.

BLACKPINK led the crowd to react by yelling, “We’re happy to perform in Cotai Arena. Let’s all have fun”.

As the songs from BLACKPINK’s latest album ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ were added to the setlist unlike their previous concerts held in Asia, the 2 hours were filled with more abundant entertainment and music. The fans all agreed that ‘BLACKPINK is the best’.

The four members also shined through their individual performances. LISA grabbed the audience’s attention with her restrained yet sensual choreography performed with MISO’s ‘Take Me’ and Jason Derulo’s ‘Swalla’.  while JISOO dominated the stage by presenting her matured vocal skills through her performance of Zedd’s ‘Clarity’.

JENNIE also presented her unique charms by performing her solo track, ‘SOLO’. ROSÉ performed ‘Let it be’, ‘You & I’, and ‘Only Look at Me’, in addition to her modified version of ‘Can’t help falling in love’, performed for the first time in Macau.

The local fans of Macau created a sing-along wave by singing BLACKPINK’s songs including ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, ‘FOREVER YOUNG’, ‘WHISTLE’, and ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ in Korean. The members were touched by the fans singing-along in Korean and shared their gratitude towards the local fans throughout the entire concert.

The fans of Macau also touched BLACKPINK’s hearts by preparing a slogan event which read, ‘I paint your memory in PINK’ (quoted from BLACKPINK’s Don’t Know What To Do’). The pink lights coming from ‘bbyong bongs’, BLACKPINK’s official light sticks, filled up the arena along with phone flash lights, creating a beautiful scene.

At the end of the concert, BLACKPINK touched the fans’ hearts by stating, “We hope to be able to come back to this beautiful city, and we will keep this memory in our hearts forever”. BLACKPINK then reappeared due to a passionate encore request and performed ‘Hope Not’, while capturing the local fans in their hearts one by one.

While spending a busy year with schedules all over the world including Asia·North America·Europe, BLACKPINK will go on their first-ever Australia tour, which will begin on the 13th.
