Scenes of iKON From SXSW, The Largest Music Festival of the US… Fans Cheer
[뉴시스=최지윤 기자] Group ‘iKON’ grabbed the US fans’ hearts.
On March 31, YG Entertainment revealed iKON’s SXSW festival making video. The video contained behind stories of iKON who were invited to SXSW held in Austin, Texas on the 13th(local time). iKON participated the ‘Korea Spotlight’ showcase as the representative group and decorated the finale.
Prior to getting on stage, iKON showed a professional attitude by checking stage equipment and performance positions. BOBBY stated, “It feels new to perform in the US where I used to live(during childhood). I’m very excited since I’ve never experienced the concert culture here”.
iKON performed ‘KILLING ME’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, and ‘MY TYPE’. The fans chanted iKON while holding ‘Kon Bats’, which are iKON’s official lighting sticks. A local fan wearing a t-shirt with iKON’s logo stated, “I made this t-shirt for this performance. I hop iKON feels our love and support”.
SXSW is regarded as one of the 3 biggest music markets of the world, along with UK’s The Great Escape’(TGE) and France’s ‘MIDEM’. It is the largest music festival of the US where approximately 2 thousand musicians and 20 thousand related officials from 50 countries participate every Spring.
