‘YG TREASURE BOX’ TREASURE Decorates New York Times Square Electronic Display
Recently, a video of the 7 members of TREASURE, YG’s upcoming boy group, has been posted on the electronic display in Times Square, New York. It was an event to celebrate the formation of TREASURE, YG’s next-generation boy group.
The short 15-second clip presented each members’ unique charms and character along with the phrase, YG’s 4TH BOY GROUP TREASURE’. Starting with BANG YE DAM, members HARUTO, YOON JAEHYUK, PARK JEONG WOO, SO JUNGHWAN, KIM JUN KYU, and CHOI HYUN SUK showed off their fancy visuals and presented short performances of vocals and dance, grabbing the attention of the public who visited Times Square.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’ is YG’s new boy group debut project program which grabbed the viewers’ attention with its unprecedented broadcast method. Instead of using conventional Korean network stations, the show was released through web-based VLIVE and broadcasted through YouTube and JTBC2 a couple hours after the show was initially released.
YG selected a web-based platform so that the global fans can get access to the show easily with comfort. YG’s new and bold strategy worked on the global market. The VLIVE special live of TREASURE, which was the group’s first official schedule, gathered nearly 1.4 million live viewers.
BANG YE DAM, HARUTO, SO JUNGHWAN, KIM JUN KYU, PARK JEONG WOO, YOON JAEHYUK, and CHO HYUNSUK will make their official debut in the K-Pop scene after going through debut preparations in the near future.
