BLACKPINK proved the global fans’ interest with their unrivaled MV view counts. The MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ which recently surpassed 600 million views is setting the fastest records in ‘K-Pop group’ history. Billboard, the US Pop magazine and Forbes, the global economy magazine spotlighted BLACKPINK’s dominant global presence by writing, “BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ has accumulated the most number of views among all groups of K-Pop”.

BLACKPINK’s YouTube power is not simply limited to ‘MV views’. The ‘choreography videos’ of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUT LAST’, and ‘BOOMBAYAH’ surpassed 100 million views as well, proving the global fans’ explosive interest on BLACKPINK’s choreography.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK has approximately 18 million subscribers on their YouTube channel, which is the ‘most number of subscribers’ record among all K-Pop groups. They also received the ‘Diamond Creator Award’ from YouTube last year on August, for the first time as a K-Pop girl group.

With their global influence, BLACKPINK announced their expansion to the US market last year on October by partnering with Interscope Records, the representative music label of Universal Music Group. The group is also confirmed to perform at Coachella, the global music festival, on April for the first time as a K-Pop group.

While establishing themselves as the representative K-Pop group, BLACKPINK is continuing their act by holding their first-ever world tour. Following their concerts in Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong, BLACKPINK will hold concerts in Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei, then head to North America, Europe, and Australia. The people are paying keen attention on how high BLACKPINK will rise, as they have announced their challenge towards the global music scene.
