‘YG TREASURE BOX’ A Dramatic Change in Debut Group, ‘Tension+Excitement’

‘YG TREASURE BOX’ is presenting fun, tension, and excitement with its unexpected outcomes happening over and over throughout the episodes. WANG JYUNHAO, the ‘happy virus’, was selected as the second dropout to leave the program while KIM JUNKYU, MASHIHO, KIM YEONGUE, and HA YOONBIN from the debut group had to return to their original trainee positions from the debut group. LEE BYOUNG GON, KIM SEUNG HUN, PARK JEONGWOO, and HARUTO made another unexpected outcome by joining the debut group.
The 7th episode of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ that aired through Naver V LIVE(V App) on the 28th at 10 PM covered the 2:2-unit position swap battle between the 6 Treasures and the trainees challenging for their spot.
The trainees who earned their rights to challenge the 2:2-unit position swap mission by WINNER, the special judges of the video evaluation last week, were LEE BYOUNG GON-KIM SEUNGHUN, KIM DOYOUNG-KIL DOHWAN, and PARK JEONGWOO-HARUTO. LEE BYOUNG GON and KIM SEUNG HUN who have trained together in Treasure A for 3 years chose KIM YEONGYU-HA YOONBIN as the unit they would challenge. The gold card containing the decision by the 100 online Treasure Makers notified LEE BYOUNG GON and KIM SEUNG HUN as the winners. As a result, LEE BYOUNG GON and KIM SEUNG HUN who have been revealing their strong desires towards the debut group have finally felt the joy of becoming one of the Treasures.
KIM DOYOUNG-KIL DOHWAN who are known as ‘close friends’ promised a “cool performance” and chose the BANG YE DAM-KEITA unit to challenge. Representative producer YANG HYUN SUK chose BANG YE DAM and KEITA after reviewing, “You shouldn’t be the only one to enjoy the performance. Everyone should enjoy it”.
The last battle was between units KIM JUNKYU-MASHIHO and PARK JEONGWOO-HARUTO. After the two performances with high degrees of perfection, KIM JUNKYU and MASHIHO selected the gold lcard with the decision of the 100 Treasure Makers, but their fate have turned upside down as PARK JEONGWOO-HARUTO were selected as the winners. PARK JEONGWOO and HARUTO who have previously dropped out from the debut group wrote a drama by re-entering the debut group together.
After the breathtaking 2:2-unit position swap mission, the cruel 1:1 survival competition between the trainees continued. PARK JIHOON and WANG JYUNHAO were the second unit to battle each other. The two members who turned from teammates to competitors promised the best stage and performed EXO’s ‘Ko Ko Bop’. PARK JIHOON who has previously been released from YG sang with his sincere heart after stating, “This is my last chance. I don’t want to leave this agency ever again”. Representative producer YANG HYUN SUK eventually chose PARK JIHOON as the winner, presenting a heartwarming moment for the viewers.

Meanwhile, the preview for the next episode notified that the debut group will be reformed to 5 members from 6, raising even more tension. In addition, WINNER’s YOON and HOONY appeared as the special coaches for the trainees while BANG YE DAM looked very nervous, making the viewers wonder what will happen next.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’ is a survival program to select members for YG’s new boy group to be launched in 2019 through its differentiated trainee casting, audition, training system, monthly evaluations, and idol producing. The program airs every Friday night at 10 PM through V LIVE and Naver TV.
