JENNIE Reveals Behind the Scenes of Her First-Ever Solo Fan Signing Event, “Thank You for Supporting My Solo Single”
[OSEN=김은애 기자] JENNIE revealed the behind-the-scenes video of her first-ever solo fan signing event.
On December 15 at 10 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded a video from JENNIE’s fan signing event to celebrate the release of her first solo single ‘SOLO’ photobook through their official blog.
Last month on the 27th, fans from not only Korea but also overseas gathered at AK Plaza Bundang to support JENNIE and her fan signing event, proving her global presence. The fans filled up the first and second floor while taking photos of her through their phones.
After introducing herself with a bright smile, JENNIE presented warm eye-contacts towards the fans ‘Blink’ and took selfies with them, creating special memories. She wore headbands in ribbon and Christmas tree shape gifted by the fans and hugged character stuffed dolls, expressing her gratitude.
She also left a strong impression by following the pose in a portrait painted by a fan, while actively trying to commutate with each fan.
JENNIE stated, “I’m trying to present myself more through various music broadcasts and video contents, so please enjoy”. She also shared her gratitude by stating, “Thank you for showing so much love and support on my first-ever solo single. Blink, I love you!”.
JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ topped real-time, daily, and weekly charts of major Korean music platforms for 15 consecutive days since its release.
The song topped iTunes Charts in 40 different countries while also topping the iTunes ‘World Wide Song’ Chart for the first time as a Korean female solo artist. Furthermore, she also proved her global presence once again, by topping US Billboard’s ‘World Digital Song Sales’ Chart.
Also, the MV for ‘SOLO’ has surpassed 100 million views in 23 days. The record was approximately 20 times faster than the previous record, displaying the strongest influential power in Korean female solo artist history. It is rare for ‘solo artists’ to surpass 100 million views unlike groups, but she re-wrote the fastest record in unrivaled speed.
