The MV for ‘SOLO’ surpassed 100 million views on YouTube as of December 6 at 5 AM, and YG Entertainment released a celebratory poster through their official blog.
The MV for ‘SOLO’ released last month on the 12th surpassed 100 million views in exactly 23 days. JENNIE’s new record was 20 times faster than the pre-existing record, proving her all-time greatest impact as a Korean female solo artist. It is rare for ‘solo artists’ from groups to surpass 100 million views, but JENNIE achieved the record in the shortest amount for time with overwhelming speed.
The success of the MV for ‘SOLO’ has been predicted with the release of the video. The MV for ‘SOLO’ has previously surpassed 10 million views in 15 hours since its release, 60 million views in 6 days, 70 million views in 10 days, 80 million views in 13 days, and 90 million views in 18 days, renewing the fastest records in Korean female solo artist history every time she added another 10 million views.
