JENNIE Reveals Second Diary of ‘SOLO’… ‘Flame Acting’ on MV Filming Scene
[OSEN=강서정 기자] Girl group BLACKPINK JENNIE revealed additional behind stories from the MV filming scene in London.
YG Entertainment revealed the diary video of JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ through their official blog on December 1. Following the first episode, the video captured the scenes London on the second day of the MV filming.
JENNIE performed acting on the MV. She focused by holding down her emotions during the rehearsal. She started to act sincerely when the filming began, getting rid of her smiles she used to make during the rehearsal, and captured the viewers with her unexpected rap performance with swag.
The next location was the club. After hearing the directing that she has to express her depressed mood amongst friends who are hyped, JENNIE made a worrisome face while stating, “That’s a lot of emotional expressions”.
After the club scene was successfully filmed, JENNIE introduced the foreign actors who she worked together with and shared friendship by taking photos with them.
On the outdoor shooting, she challenged acting in tears after breaking up with her boyfriend. At the director’s direction, “It’s the saddest moment”, JENNIE focused on the moment while listening to music and sobbed, successfully completing the shooting.
JENNIE’s first digital single ‘SOLO’ topped major Korean charts for 15 consecutive days, while also dominating weekly charts. The song also topped the Digital and Streaming Charts announced by Gaon Chart, known as the comprehensive K-Pop chart, for 2 consecutive days.
She also topped iTunes Charts in 40 different countries, topped the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart for the first time as a Korean female solo artist, and entered the US iTunes Top 10, establishing herself as a global diva.
The MV for ‘SOLO’ is renewing the fastest records previously held by other Korean female solo artists and is rapidly rising towards 100 million views as the video is nearly at 90 million views. The ‘SOLO’ CHOREOGRAPHY UNEDITED VERSION video has also surpassed 27 million views, receiving as much attention as the MV.
After winning the no. 1 trophy on her first appearance on a music broadcast with ‘SOLO’ through ‘Inkigayo’ on the 25th, JENNIE will meet the fans through MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ today.
