‘YG TREASURE BOX’, Japanese Trainees Face a Huge Crisis with Monthly Evaluations Coming Up… Harsh Criticism from the Producers
[OSEN=지민경 기자] Treasure J, the trainee group composed of Japanese trainees that were known as the aces of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ faced crisis with monthly evaluations coming up.
YG Entertainment released the preview for the 3rd episode of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ through their official blog and VLIVE(V App) today(29th) at 1 PM. The preview revealed the cute Korean skills by members of Treasure J and their preparation for the monthly evaluations.
On the final monthly evaluation scene to select the debut group, YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK revealed his concern towards the group by stating, “You’re singing while dancing today, right?” and “Wasn’t Korean hard? It’s hard, right?”. The preview followed up with scenes of the members studying Koran regardless of time and location, making the viewers laugh.
Trainee ASAHI revealed his yet awkward Korean by stating, “I will eat beef wi.. wiwith rice”, while KEITA confidently stated a word that’s hard to pronounce, but cutely made a mistake. On the scene where the trainees were learning to pronounce ‘babbling’, the members were literally ‘babbling’, making the viewers smile.
However, when the trainees sang Pentagon’s ‘Shine’ to prepare for the monthly evaluation, the producers facial expressions hardened despite the bright mood of the song. Producer P.K stated, “You shouldn’t sing like that” and criticized, “You’ll be losers like the lyrics if you sing like this”, revealing Treasure J facing crisis.
Representative YANG also asked the youngest trainee and leader HARUTO, “Were you the leader among the 7 trainees, HARUTO? Did the elder trainees not listen to you?”, raising the tension of the scene.
Treasure J is composed of trainees from ‘YG JAPAN’, YG’s Japan branch. YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK has introduced them by stating, “These are the trainees I’ve been hiding for a long time. The 7 members have been consistently training in ‘YG JAPAN’”. The members of Treasure J include HARUTO, KEITA, YOSHINORI, ASAHI, MAHIRO, MASHIHO, and KOTARO.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’, the survival program to select members for YG’s new boy group being produced in 4 years after BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON, has surpassed 20 million views in 2 episodes with heated support from the fans. The program reached high view counts not only from Korea, but also from Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand, noticing a birth of a global boy group.
Unlike existing debut survival programs, ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ will present YG’s differentiated production know-hows and internal system accumulated for the past 22 years.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’, consisted of 10 episodes, will pre-release tomorrow(30th) at 10 PM through VLIVE(V App) and air on the same night at 12 AM through JTBC2 and YouTube.
