The song ‘FIANCÉ’ samples ‘Soyanggang Maid’, a popular song from the 70s. By doing so, the song adds elements of old Korean songs into the genre of Hip-Hop with sophistication. MINO created his unique genre with the crossover of Hip-Hop and trot. The unique and original combination of the two genres is creating waves in the K-Pop scene. The song ‘FIANCÉ’ includes a familiar melody with fresh variations on its rhythm, while the catchy melody and lyrics of the hook captures the listeners’ ears in an instant. The melody created through electric organs stick into ones’ ears while the lyrics that metaphorically state someone that’s missed as ‘fiancé’ or ‘blue bird’ sounds new and brilliant.
