MINO Revealed the full track list for his first official solo album, composed of 12 songs written, composed, and produced by himself.
On November 20 at 10 AM, YG Entertainment revealed a poster containing the track list for MINO’s first solo album, ‘XX’, through their official blog.
The track list was composed of 12 tracks including the title song ‘FIANCÉ, ‘TRIGGER’, ‘HOPE’, ‘O2’, ROCKET’, ‘UM…’, ‘LONELY’, ‘AURORA’, ‘her’, ‘AGREE’, ‘BOW-WOW’, and ‘ALARM’.
The title song ‘FIANCÉ’ is a song in a trendy Hip-Hop genre but will present unexpected charms since the song samples ‘Soyanggang Maid’, the trot song which is familiar to the public.
The unique featuring lineup also grabs the viewers’ attention. The third track titled ‘HOPE’ features YOO BYUNG JAE, and it is said that he and MINO have presented perfect harmony. The song ‘UM…’ features Blue.D from YGX, who had appropriate vocal tone for the mood of the song, creating a satisfactory outcome. YDG participated in track no. 11, ‘BOW-WOW’. MINO is said to have concentrated more than ever for the song, since he has been a fan of YDG since he was little.
What stands out is that MINO has been listed as a writer and composer for all 12 tracks, and even produced all songs in the album. MINO has revealed his passion for the album by stating, “The president told me to prepare for my solo album in the beginning of the year”. He continued, “From that day on, I only worked on making music in my own studio except when I had to sleep”.
Along with MINO who wrote, composed, and produced all songs, talented composers including KANG UK JIN, FUTURE BOUNCE, TEXU, 1105, MILLENNIUM, CHOICE37, Diggy, AiRPLAY, and HAE participated to raise completion of the album.
Like the title of the album ‘XX’ without limits on definition, the title song ‘FIANCÉ’ is also an atypical and experimental music for MINO. The song uses electronic organs as its lead source and samples a song from the 70s titled ‘Soyanggang Maid’, creating a unique Hip-Hop track.
